How the Online Booking Process Works

The process is designed to be straightforward, with no unnecessary steps between deciding you want storage and having it confirmed. Here’s what to expect:

    • Step 1: Choose Your Container Size
Select from our three available sizes – 10ft, 20ft, or 40ft – based on what you’re planning to store. If you’re not sure which size suits your needs, the pricing page gives a practical overview, and our team is available by phone or WhatsApp on 07764 447599 if you’d like a quick steer before booking. Most customers storing the contents of a one-bedroom flat or a moderate amount of business stock opt for the 10ft; a two- or three-bedroom home’s contents typically fits a 20ft; and larger households or combined home and business storage usually points to the 40ft.
    • Step 2: Review the Pricing
Pricing is confirmed clearly before you pay – no surprises at checkout. Containers are rented on a weekly basis, billed in four-week blocks: the 10ft costs £20 per week (£80 for the first four weeks), the 20ft costs £30 per week (£120 for the first four weeks), and the 40ft costs £60 per week (£240 for the first four weeks). A one-off refundable deposit of £50 covers your key and gate fob and is returned to you when you end your rental and hand them back.
    • Step 3: Pay Securely Online
Payment is taken securely through the booking system. The first four weeks’ rental plus the £50 refundable deposit is collected at the point of booking, confirming your container and start date.
    • Step 4: You’re Confirmed
Once payment is complete, your booking is confirmed. Our team will be in touch to arrange collection of your key and gate fob, after which you’re ready to start loading your container.

Is It Available Around the Clock?

Yes. The booking system at northeastcontainerstorage.com/book-pay-now is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you’re packing late on a Sunday night and decide you need a container sorted before Monday morning, you can book right then rather than waiting until office hours. For anyone working to a tight timeline – a house move, an unexpected need to vacate a property, or a business decision that needs immediate action – this flexibility genuinely matters.

What If I’d Rather Speak to Someone First?

Online booking works well for customers who know what they need and want to get it done quickly. But it’s not the only option, and we recognise that some people would rather talk through their situation before committing, particularly if they’re unsure about size, timing, or whether self storage is the right solution for their specific circumstances.

If that’s you, call or WhatsApp us on 07764 447599 or email info@neselfstorage.com and we’ll answer your questions directly. There’s no pressure to book on the spot – we’d rather spend a few minutes making sure you choose the right container than have you arrive to find it’s not quite what you needed.

Are There Any Commitments or Long-Term Contracts?

No. Booking online doesn’t lock you into a lengthy contract. Rental runs week by week, paid in four-week rolling blocks. When you no longer need your container, simply let us know, return your key and gate fob, and your £50 deposit is refunded. The only minimum commitment is the initial four-week payment made at the point of booking.

This flexibility is one of the most consistent things our customers tell us they appreciate, particularly those who booked during a house move or renovation when the exact end date was uncertain. You’re not penalised for finishing sooner than expected, and you’re not locked in if your circumstances change.

Can I Start Moving In Straight Away?

Once you’ve collected your key and gate fob, yes. Your container is reserved from the moment your booking is confirmed, so there’s no waiting period beyond the practical step of arranging to pick up your access items. Our team will confirm the details with you promptly after your online booking comes through.

    What About Availability?

Container availability varies, and it’s worth booking promptly if you have a specific date in mind – particularly around busy periods such as summer, when house moves peak and demand for storage across the North East increases. Booking online reserves your container immediately, so you won’t find it’s gone by the time you ring to follow up on an enquiry.

If you have a specific start date requirement that you’d like to confirm before booking, a quick call to 07764 447599 will give you an immediate answer on what’s available and when.
